Bushland park is a unique Passive House development at the foot of Christchurch’s Port Hills.

Eleven high-performance homes form a neighbourhood surrounded by regenerating and replanted native bush. The neighbourhood is comprised of four house types, which we have designed to be distinct in character but consistent in aesthetic. The consistency is present in both the gable forms and the timeless material selection, in particular the thermally-modified, carbon-neutral wood and European-style render. As well as being designed to meet Passive House certification standards, each house includes photovoltaic panels for extremely low ongoing operational costs.

All framing is being prefabricated onsite to make the most of the team’s skillset and achieve consistently excellent quality. Standardised construction details are shared between each house type to maximise efficiency and deliver outstanding thermal performance.
