Three generations; two independent yet connected dwellings; one roof. Long-term multigenerational living was the brief for this project, and it was a joy to facilitate the design of this house.

The key to unlocking the planning logic for this project was understanding each family’s requirement for privacy and interaction. The final design is comprised of seperate family wings joined by a shared service space. This allows control of the incidental or deliberate movement between private and shared areas. Living areas and external spaces are arranged to suit the preferences and lifestyles of each family.
